After a long wait of two and a half years, Anurag Basu’s musical adventure Jagga Jasoos, a Disney production, will finally hit the theatre screens on July 14. Considering Anurag Basu’s meticulous direction and Ranbir-Katrina’s charm visible throughout the trailer, the film looks promising on many accounts. With 29 soundtracks, a record-breaking feat, this musical is definitely going to be a treat for music aficionados. The vibrant colors, characteristic live action features and the lead cast`s amazing chemistry are some reasons why we all are eagerly waiting for the film’s release.

Being a musical, the songs would play an integral role in the film’s narrative. A stuttering Ranbir Kapoor would be singing songs throughout the film. As of now, the makers of the film have released six out of their massive 29-songs album. With Arijit Singh being the voice behind four out of these six, the songs are already trending on chartbusters. So what is the music like? Continue reading…

1.    Ullu Ka Patha
Watch Ranbir-Katrina’s quirky dance moves and adorable chemistry in this one, while also relishing the cultural beauty of Morocco. The song has already created quite a rage among the audiences and is the perfect dance number for the season.

2.    Galti se mistake
The Northeastern folk music at the beginning of the song will definitely catch your attention. The use of Assamese folk instruments like gogona, pep and toka in perfect symphony with western instruments make this one of the most liked songs from the film. If nothing else, Ranbir’s cute looks would definitely make you smile.

3.    Jhumritalaiyya
A typical Arijit Singh number, enjoy this song with your significant other as Ranbir and Katrina create magic onscreen with their awesome chemistry.

4.    Phir Wahi
The emotional quotient of this song is really high as it depicts the sensitive yet beautiful father-son relationship. Soft and soothing to the ears, Phir Wahi is a song about one’s longing for their dear ones.

5.    Tukka Laga
This song films the unraveling of the mystery and communicates the peak of all chaos and confusion amidst Ranbir realizing that his instincts are hitting the right spot. Saurabh Shukla, who is probably playing a negative role, also appears in the song. The fast rhythm and beats make this soundtrack significant, considering the film is a mystery adventure.

6.    Musafir
Sung by Tushar Joshi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the song starts with a beautiful instrumental melody. The song should definitely be a part of your playlist if you are someone who finds music to be a stress reliever.

These songs just form the tip of the iceberg. To listen to all the 29 songs, you need to wait till Friday. And do not forget to read our review for Jagga Jasoos. Stay tuned.
