Stardom doesn’t come easy! And Abhishek Bachchan is possibly the best person to talk about this touchy subject. Despite being born into one of the most celebrated families of Bollywood, the charming actor was written off for his poor acting skills and ordinary looks. His father might be the Shahenshah of Bollywood but post Refugee, Junior Bachchan (as he is fondly known) appeared in a slew of films that failed miserably at the box office. And everyone thought it was the end of Abhishek’s career. Fortunately, it wasn’t, as the actor went on to deliver commendable performances in the following movies. Yes, here’s a list of his best five so far.

Dhoom (2004)
Possibly his career-changing film, Dhoom went on to be a blockbuster hit. The viewers loved his performance as the no-nonsense cop in the action thriller.
Bunty Aur Babli (2005)
Abhishek struck the blockbuster chord yet again as Bunty! Plus, who can forget his sizzling chemistry with Rani Mukerji on screen? Totally adorable!
Sarkar (2005)
With Sarkar, Abhishek stunned the critics with his stupendous performance. So much so that he went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor that year.
Guru (2007)
Post Sarkar, there was no stopping Junior Bachchan, as he went on deliver a path-breaking performance in and as Guru. We loved this one, AB Jr. 🙂
Paa (2010)
To play a father to his own father would have been downright challenging, but Junior Bachchan nailed it. We loved the chemistry between Amitabh and Abhishek. So did the fans!
And that’s not all, folks! This week, AB Jr’s upcoming comedy-drama All Is Well is all set to hit theatres, and has us waiting with fingers crossed. How excited are you? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
