Verdict: Stylish and slick revenge vendetta.

LIE starring Nithiin and Megha Akash in lead roles is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Anil Sunkara under their banner 14 Reels Entertainments. LIE marks the debut for Megha Akash into Tollywood. Action King Arjun is also seen in a prominent role. Sri Ram, Ajay, Ravi Kishan, Brahmaji, and Prithviraj form the rest of the cast. LIE has been shot exclusively in USA and the teasers and theatrical trailers have generated good expectations among the common audience. LIE is Hanu Raghavapudi’s third movie after Andhaala Rakshasi and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. Nithiin and Hanu Raghavapudi join hands for the first time. Releasing today amidst tough competition, let’s see if it hit the bull’s eye.

LIE - BooMyShowPadmanabham (Arjun Sarja) is an international criminal who is wanted in many cases and is on a run. He is very clever and will never get caught by the police. A. Satyam (Nithiin) is a happy-go-lucky guy who can do anything for money. Chaitra (Megha Akash) dreams of going to the US and making quick money by gambling in a casino. All these three characters meet in the USA. Who is Satyam? What is his real identity? Why did he come to the US? What is the connection between him and Padmanabham? All of this and more forms the major set up of LIE.

Nithiin is absolutely ravishing and terrific as a lover boy. Megha Akash makes a promising debut with LIE and is extremely beautiful and homely. Arjun is the major surprise in LIE. He has played the role of the main antagonist to perfection. Sri Ram was good as the officer who is on a mission to catch Padmanabham. Ravi Kishan is seen in the role of an officer who leads this mission named Sholay and is apt in his character. Brahmaji and Prudhvi in Indra and Narada roles provided the required dose of comedy and their characters reveal what is going to happen next.

Hanu Raghavapudi has cleverly mixed mythological characters in the current set up and delivered a wholesome entertainer in the form of LIE. J. Yuvaraj cinematography took the movie to the next level. The US backdrop was captured very well and the climax scene at an airport is enthralling. Mani Sharma music and background score is an absolute treat. Of all the songs, Bombhaat stands out. Editing by S.R.Shekhar is very good and the movie has a runtime of 145 minutes.
