After Sultan and Dangal, movies based on the sport of wrestling, it is time for Godha. Godha is the Malayalam film all set to hit the big screen on the 19th of May. Directed by Basil Joseph, Godha is a sports-comedy starring Tovino Thomas, Wamiqa Gabbi, Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker and others. 

The trailer was released on 15th April and it has reached over 1.6 million views. 

The trailer and teaser looks really good with some amazing shots of action in the wrestling ring. Renji Panicker looks to be playing the role of a wrestling coach who absolutely loves the sport. Lead actors Tovino and Wamiqa trained rigorously to get into their character and the result can be seen in their beefed up avatar.

Punjabi actress Wamiqa who has acted in other south films like Bhale Manchi Roju (2015), Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam (2016) and others will be making her Mollywood debut with Godha. She will be playing the role of a wrestler from Punjab named Aditi. 

But, this film is not an out and out sports drama, yes, there will be high octane action scenes but it will also have comedy elements which will be provided by Aju Varghese, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Hareesh Kanaran and others.
