FU: Friendship Unlimited Vs Muramba? Take Your Pick!

It’s double delight for Marathi audience this week with two major releases. On one hand, you have FU: Friendship Unlimited which seems more vibrant, energetic and goofy while on the other you have Muramba, a light-hearted, somber love story.  Having said that, there is a striking similarity in both these movies. They both target the youth of this generation. It's FU: Friendship Unlimited Vs Muramba this weekend.

Let’s take a look at what's so different about these movies:

FU: Friendship Unlimited
Friendship Unlimited is probably not the first two words that pop into your mind when you read FU but well, this movie is all about friendship. A group of thick-as-thieves friends explore their newfound college and love life as puberty hits them (it hits them hard). Starring in the lead role in Aakash Thosar, the boy from Sairat, who makes his second appearance on the silver screen. In-house Sairat fans, time for you to rejoice.

Well, besides assembling a strong lead cast, Mahesh Manjrekar also managed to cast Marathi cinema veterans like Bharti Achrekar, Sharad Ponkshe, late Ashwini Ekbote, Sachin Khedekar among others as well as Bollywood celebrities like Isha Koppikar, Boman Irani, and Kashmira Shah. With a powerhouse of talented actors, this one sure seems to hit the right chord with the audience.

Contrary to FU, this one is light-hearted, a romantic comedy about a guy who is in the process of winning back his ex- girlfriend all the while exploring the ideological differences between him and his parents. By the looks of it, it seems to be a pretty sombre film with no extravagant or outlandish acting chops or comedy. Having directed a short film earlier, this movie marks Varun Narvekar’s directorial debut in the mainstream cinema.

The lead cast again includes veterans like Sachin Khedkar and Chinmayee Sawant along with Amey Wagh, who is well known for hit web series Casting Couch, and the Katti-Batti girl Mithila Palkar. A film such as this is sure to calm your nerves and leave a lasting impression.

Aapla weekend sorted ahe re! If you are into light-hearted comedies then Muramba should be your pick or if you are in the mood for a laugh riot then FU is for you. We strongly suggest you watch them both!
