We have listed down some fantastic upcoming Marathi movies we are terribly excited about and you should be too. Make sure you hit the “Interested” button to keep yourself posted about these upcoming Marathi movies.

Mogra Phulaalaa – 14th June 2019

Much has been spoken about Swwapnil Joshi’s new look in this film. Mogra Phulaalaa revolves around a simple working-class bank employee, Sunil Kulkarni. Sunil never found love in the midst of his responsibilities towards his mother and other family members. When Shivangi Gupte, the new assistant manager of their branch, joins the bank, Sunil thinks that he probably still has a shot at experiencing the sense of belonging to a partner.

Why we are excited: Swwapnil Joshi has shed his loverboy image and is playing a simple, middle-class man.

Welcome Home – 14th June 2019

Saudamini is so much more than just a married woman. She is strong and educated and yet is struggling to find a place she can call home. The film is one of the most awaited ones and has been directed by the National Award winning director duo Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukhtankar.

Why we are excited: The film has a glowing star cast comprising of Mrinal Kulkarni, Sumeet Raghavan, Subodh Bhave, among others.

Bandishala – 21st June 2019

We have five words for you – Mukta Barve plays a cop. We last saw Barve in a delightful slice-of-life comedy Wedding Cha Shinema and in the romantic drama Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3. Now we see her in a fierce avatar of a lady cop who is not vindictive towards the criminals but thinks about their reform. Bandishala has been directed by Milind Lele.

Why we are excited: Mukta Barve is a class act in any film and we love watching her in action.

Miss U Mister – 28th June 2019

A new-age love story, Miss U Mister is something we have never seen in Marathi cinema. An urban couple has to live in different continents and they rely on technology and their commitment towards each other to make their long-distance relationship work. However, over time they realize that it is not easy.

Why we are excited: The film’s premise has not been explored before like this in Marathi cinema. Plus it stars the cutie Mrunmayee Deshpande and the very good-looking Siddhart Chandekar.

Girlfriend – 26th July 2019

Amey Wagh is a well-known and loved star who is not just a good actor but is also inherently funny. He plays a simple guy who is aggressively working towards getting a girlfriend. Wagh’s character looks like he could be vehemently awkward around women and it will be fun to see how this plays out. While no trailer is out for this film, here is a little teaser for you.

Why we are excited: Amey Wagh has not disappointed since his Dil Dosti Duniyaadari, Faster Fene and Amar Photo Studio days and it is going to be a clever comedy we simply cannot wait for!
