Bollywood’s Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit is all set to make her Marathi debut with the much-anticipated movie Bucket List. The actress was last seen in Gulaab Gang and Dedh Ishqiya in 2014. Madhuri Dixit was quoted saying that starring in a Marathi movie has always been one of the things in her bucket list.

Bucket List tells the story of a housewife’s journey to self-discovery. Madhuri Dixit will be reuniting with her co-star from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Renuka Shahane. The movie also stars Sumeet Raghvan, Vandana Gupte, Pradeep Welankar, Shubha Khote, Dilip Prabhavalkar and Ila Bhate amongst other known names of the Marathi film industry. The movie has been written and directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar. It was reported a few days ago that Karan Johar was mighty impressed by the Bucket List teaser and has decided to present the movie. Now presented by Karan Johar, the movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor in a special cameo.


Bucket List traces the story of Madhura Sane (Madhuri Dixit) and her journey to self-realization while she fulfills the wishes from the bucket list of a heart donor. The movie talks about how a woman always puts her family first. However, when Madhura embarks on this special journey, she discovers herself and realizes the things she wants. The director says and we quote, “A story of a housewife, the film not only aims to give the audience hope and inspiration but also encourage them to live life in the true sense. Being a housewife is a fulltime job and ours is an uncommon story of a common character."

The trailer of the movie was released on May 4, 2018, and has 4.7 million views on YouTube. The Bucket List trailer appears to have a lot of light-hearted humor and a very special cameo. If you haven’t watched the trailer yet, watch it here now.
