Marvel fans have been waiting for the trailer for the next Avengers film right after watching Avengers: Infinity War. After months of wait and lots of secrecy during which we didn’t even know the title of the film, the trailer was finally released. Additionally, there was also a 30-second TV spot released during the Superbowl, which gave us a little more glimpse of Endgame. The new Avengers: Endgame trailer has finally released after a few months and apart from including moments from the previous MCU movies, we get a little more information about what will happen in the film. Here are the five things we have learned from all the trailers so far:
#1. Thanos Has Hung His Armor, But The Stakes Are Still High
The trailer shows a shot of Thanos in the same place as he was after the end of Infinity War. He has hung up his armor and is walking among the flowers while wearing what looks like the Infinity Gauntlet. While we don’t see much of Thanos is the 30-second video, we do see the remaining Avengers becoming even more resolute in fighting against him. The new trailer doesn’t even mention him but the effects of the snap are visible all over. The narration shows how devastating it has been for those that remain and how resolved they are to fight back.
#2. Iron Man Is Coming Back To Earth
Avengers: Endgame trailer starts with Tony Stark recording a message for his wife, Pepper Potts. In Infinity War, he was stranded on Titan. He had survived the snap along with Nebula who is with him in the trailer. He seems convinced he will not be coming home and it’s a touching farewell message. However, in the 30-second TV spot, we see Tony and Nebula working on trying to find a way back home. And if anyone can find a way out of another planet with barebone mechanical parts, it’s Stark. In the new trailer, we see him teamed up with the others, so it is confirmed that he will be back on Earth.
#3. The Remaining Avengers Are Teaming Up
Hawkeye was very visibly missing from Avengers: Infinity War and we didn’t know his fate until now. He is shown in the trailer in a neon-lit place, which seems to be somewhere in Asia. But that’s not all that’s changed. He doesn’t have his usual bow-and-arrow but a sword. We see the remaining Avengers teaming up and all of them preparing for action. Captain America has shaved off his beard, Black Widow is practicing, Bruce Banner is also going to be part of the team. Rocket and Nebula officially seem to be a part of the Avengers with Rocket even seen riding along with Rhodey the same way he did with Groot. And most importantly, we also see Iron Man and Captain America together, which is something we last saw in Captain America: Civil War when they fought on opposite sides.
#4. Ant-Man Is The Key And There Are New Suits
Ant-Man appears at the end of the Avengers: Endgame trailer. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, we had seen that the Pym family was close to discovering time travel. He was in the quantum realm at the end of the film so that might be the reason why he survived the snap. We see him approaching the Avengers but that sequence could have taken place during the events near the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp. The 30-second TV spot also showed Ant-Man suiting up along with Rhodey (who is seen with Captain America, Black Widow, and Rocket in another scene), which also confirms that he will have a prominent part to play. The new trailer now shows us that he will join the others. There are also new suits for pretty much everyone, signifying that they are going all out.
#5. Captain Marvel’s Entry Is Confirmed
Although we saw a few clips of Avengers: Endgame in the mid-credits of Captain Marvel, there had not been any official confirmation of Captain Marvel being a part of Avengers: Endgame till now. The end of the trailer shows Thor and Captain Marvel together – the two most powerful people in the galaxy.
