Posting semi-naked/nude selfies on social networking sites has become quite the norm today. Every now and then, the Internet is stormed by some or the other celebrity (read Kim Kardashian) displaying their bountiful assets. Celebrities are so confident of their bodies that they will never miss out any opportunity to document their bodies on any media platform. So, flaunting their newly acquired curve (bump) on their bodies should be no big deal. If we can accept them skinny, then why not with some added curvature and weight. It’s all a part of womanhood that we should celebrate right? Demi Moore, who appeared on the Vanity Fair cover in 1991 seven months pregnant, was the first woman to feature on a magazine’s cover, showcasing her bump. From then on, it became a trend. So, keeping Kim aside, here are a few celebrities who proudly showed off their bumps for magazine covers:
Miranda Kerr: Vogue
This Australian supermodel looked gorgeous as she posed for Vogue’s 2011 January cover. The shoot was done when Kerr was six and a half months pregnant with her first child with Orlando Bloom. Kerr also walked the runway for Balenciaga in Paris five months into her pregnancy.
Konkana Sen Sharma: OK! Magazine
In India, going nude for a magazine is not considered sanskaari. Konkana Sen Sharma shocked all Indian aunties by baring her bump for OK! Magazine. She looked charismatic in a green ensemble, looking lovingly at her belly.
Recently Carol Gracias walked down the ramp, looking radiant as ever, proudly showing off her pregnant belly. A very welcoming change on the fashion scene in India.
Jessica Alba: Latina
The Fantastic Four actress, Jessica Alba showed off her bump rather confidently, saying ‘It’s better to flaunt it than hide it’. We totally agree with her. If you have it, then show it! 😉
Rachel Zoe: The Hollywood Reporter
Rachel Zoe was nine months pregnant when she posed for this March 2011 cover of The Hollywood Reporter, all glammed up. She dazzled us in her shimmery outfit.
Halle Berry: InStyle
Actress Halle Berry looked stunning in a white dress as she cradled her very-pregnant belly for InStyle.
One thing all these ladies had in common was that they were proud of their bodies. Cheers to all of them!
