Verdict: This Eid, Salman Khan adds another blockbuster to his list.

The Race series is back with its third edition and this time it is bigger and better. Unlike the first two movies directed by Abbas-Mastan, this one has been directed by Remo D’souza. The cast and crew have been changed and the series, like its true nature, has taken a new and unexpected turn. Race 3 is the solo release of this week and it has opened with a jam-packed 8 am show. Salman seems to have added another superhit Eid release to his list.

What’s Race 3 About:

The movie revolves around the family of Shamsher Singh (Anil Kapoor), who owns an arms manufacturing company. He has two kids – Sanjana (Daisy Shah) & Suraj (Saqib Saleem). They are twins and always watch each other’s back. Shamsher also has a step-son, Sikander (Salman Khan), who takes care of the family and their business like his own. One day, a friend from India visits Shamsher to tell him about a hard drive that has footage that can be used to manipulate the Indian political system and Shamsher plans on stealing it from a bank. He asks Sikander to plan and execute the heist. He takes charge with the support of his half-siblings and a confidante, Yash (Bobby Deol).

In the process, they discover each others’ real characters as they change in the blink of an eye and you discover that nothing is as it seems.

What Works:

Race 3 looks amazing on screen. It has been shot at real and picturesque locations, which has added so much to the production value. There are some cool helicopter shots of gorgeous properties and the cars, uff! From Bugatti Veyron to Audi, Bentley, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, you name it and there’s one of each in the movie. Every frame looks glamorous and watching it in 3D adds more drama to it.

The cast of the movie works well with the flow of the movie. With all the twists and turns, they have all adapted to their characters very well. The actors have been given amazing costumes and they all look stunning. A Remo D’Souza movie is bound to have some good dance numbers and with talented dancers like Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah, those have been executed beautifully as well. Both the ladies have some kickass action sequences in the movie which can easily be considered one of the main highlights.

Salman is as charming as ever in this one as well. He has some crazy action sequences and yes, he takes off his shirt this time. Anil Kapoor’s acting needs no approval, he has delivered some heavy dialogues and they are sure going to be used by movie lovers everywhere. Bobby Deol is back, is at his fittest, and looks terrific. He’ll be seen sharing screen with Salman Khan (also shirtless), and you won’t regret it.

The first half of the movie sets up the plot as shown in the trailer but as the second half starts, the story gets back into the race. To sum it all, the movie is worth every penny.

What Could Have Been Better:

The movie delivers exactly what you expect from a Salman Khan movie. However, another looong action sequences with a shirtless Salman Khan would have been great.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

This movie has all the action you’d expect from Bhai’s movie and all the unexpected twists that Race series is known for. Both Jacqueline and Daisy have given some brilliant dance performances and the production value is amazing! We highly recommend you to catch Race 3 this weekend. Watch it in theatres because the whistles and hooting is what makes this year’s Eid release more exciting.
