Verdict: Sunny Leone’s best film till date, leaves a lot to be desired.

Beiimaan Love is a film with a message. As the movie ends, you are told that a woman should never be taken for granted. You would take this message seriously if only the treatment of the movie wasn’t as shoddy. Sunaina (Sunny Leone), a hardworking, ambitious girl falls for her boss Raj Malhotra (Rajneesh Duggal). "Raj Malhotra" is as filmy as it gets and in one scene, Duggal even spreads his arms wide a la Shah Rukh Khan. The rich brat reciprocates her feelings but little does she know that it is only to win a bet with his pal. After Sunaina is dumped on her engagement day, revenge is the only thing on her mind. And well, nothing is as dangerous as a woman scorned. That is at least what Beiimaan Love intends on telling you.

Beiimaan Love scores on the storyline. You never know who’s playing who and the climax is unexpected. The plot maybe familiar but this film is nothing like Hate Story and its sequel. The protagonist relies on intelligence rather than physical charms to get even with the man who wronged her. The fact that she isn’t ruthless and still has compassion makes her more believable.

Beiimaan Love

A Sunny Leone-film is associated with close angle shots and steamy scenes but surprisingly, and fortunately, Beiimaan Love isn't one of them. The movie has a plot and Leone gets a well-written character. She looks like a woman who means business and this is easily her best performance till date. Rajneesh Duggal, who has made this genre his own with films like Ek Paheli Leela, 1920 and Dangerous Ishq, is decent. Leone’s husband, Daniel Weber, is in the film too, but he looks out of place.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

Beiimaan Love is one of the better films in the adult-thriller genre. Sunny Leone gives it her best shot and it is a welcome change to see the actress do more than just shed her clothes. Watch it if you are bored and have nothing much to do this weekend.
