Verdict: A suspense-thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end.

Actor Kay Kay Menon is not new to playing the role of a police officer. He has acted as a cop in Black FridayTera Kya Hoga Johnny, Bombay Velvet and others. In this Kushal Srivastava directorial debut – Vodka Diaries too, Kay Kay Menon has taken up the role of a cop. But this isn’t your regular cop drama; it is filled with suspense. Watch it in theatres to find out what the intersting twist is. Vodka Diaries has been made under the banner of K’Scope Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and Vishal Raj Films and Production Pvt. Ltd. Here’s what we think:

Vodka Diaries - BookMyShow

What’s Vodka Diaries About:

The film has been shot in the picturesque locations of Manali, where you are introduced to the lives of a married couple – ACP Ashwini Dixit (Kay Kay Menon) and Shikha (Mandira Bedi), a poet. They seem to have a happy married life and are much in love with each other. But soon a series of murders take place at a club called Vodka Diaries and wreak havoc in their happy married life. How are these murders connected and how has it affected the loving couple’s relationship is what the film deals with. But before you jump to a conclusion that this is just another cop drama with the ever-so-busy husband trying to fix his relationship with his oh-so fed-up wife, let us tell you that that is not the case. The film, as the name suggests, will give you a buzz. Of course, this happens when ACP Ashwini Dixit starts his investigation of these murders and soon finds that everything is not as simple or real as it seems

What Works:

The major factor that works for the film is the cast’s performance. As usual, Kay Kay Menon gives us a splendid performance and so does Mandira Bedi. Raima Sen makes her presence felt even with her small role. The script is amazing as a suspense-thriller.

What Could’ve Been Better:

The film dialogues could’ve been a bit better.  At times, a few dialogues between Inspector Ankit (Sharib Hashmi) and ACP Ashwini Dixit seem irrelevant.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

For Kay Kay Menon and for the cast. Kay Kay Menon dominates the screen and the intensity with which he portrays his role is proof of why he is referred to as one of the most talented actors in our country. If you are a fan of the suspense-thriller genre, you should definitely give this a shot.
