Aval is a trilingual film starring Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah, in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. Siddharth’s comeback to the Hindi and Telugu Industry with this intriguing film is definitely the way to do it! With good visuals and production value, this film is surely a refreshing look to the Tamil film Industry.

What’s It About:

What Works:

Anisha Victor’s acting is truly commendable. The location of the movie is truly a treat for the eyes despite the gory imagery and sound effects of the paranormal activities. The film is rated as  A  and the visuals and certain scenes hold up for it. Siddarth, in all his handsomeness, plays his part wonderfully and has moved on from the regular chocolate boy image he once had. The film did a good job in not letting sentiment overshadow the essence of the film and the horror was not diluted. The visuals are nicely executed and almost seemed to be along the lines of Conjuring and Annabelle in regard to the gore content. This was definitely a good effort by Siddarth and director Milind Rau in portraying what is rarely shown in the theatres.

What Could Have Been Better:

The film did seem a bit prolonged as two hours felt like too much for a horror movie. The film also lacked clarity in certain scenes. But the same goes for most horror movies and could be disregarded. This is a pretty straightforward film but does a good job at the climax introducing good plot twists.

Why You Should Watch:

If you’re a big fan of Siddharth, this is a must watch. See him in a new avatar and fall head over heels for him. If you’re looking for something fun to do and like horror movies, we suggest you hang tight on your seats and give this one a watch!
