What’s Bharat Ane Nenu About:

Bharat Ram (Mahesh Babu) is a UK resident and an Oxford University graduate with five degrees under his belt. He returns to India after hearing the news of his father, Raghava Raju’s (played by Sarath Kumar) death, who is also the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Varadha Raju (Prakash Raj) is Raghava Raju’s childhood friend and remains to be the backbone of his political party. Over time, Bharat wins the hearts of the people of the state through his administration but finds enemies within the members of his party and other political parties of the state. How Bharat continues to win the hearts of the people and expose all the corrupt politicians and officials.

What Works:

Koratala Siva’s writing and Mahesh Babu’s acting is the heart and soul of Bharat Ane Nenu. The way traffic issues are dealt is commendable. Similarly, the concept of local governance is thought-provoking. The upliftment of the government schools and government hospitals has been depicted well. The victory of independent MLA (Rahul Ramakrishna) in Rachakonda is well conceived. After watching the movie, one will come out with a feeling of how well can a good CM change the face of the state. Kiara Advani is beautiful and did justice to the short role that she was given. Prakash Raj has a meaty role and he plays it successfully. Rao Ramesh, Sarat Kumar, Brahmaji, Aamani, Ajay, Sitara and rest of the actors were apt in the roles they portrayed. The music, the background score, the cinematography, and the editing are all picture perfect.

What Could Have Been Better:

Literally nothing. This is how a movie should be made!

Why You Should Watch:
