Rana Daggubati and Teja came together for the first time with a political thriller Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Kajal and Catherine Teresa are paired opposite Rana. Produced by D.Suresh Babu, Kiran Reddy and Bharath Chowdary, it also has Navdeep, Ashutosh Rana, Shivaji Raja, Tanikella Bharani, Ajay, Josh Ravi, Jay Prakash Reddy, Pradeep Rawat, Posani, Satya Prakash, Raghu Karumanchi, Bithiri Sathi and Sanjay Kapoor. Anoop Rubens handled the music and back ground score while Venkat C. Dileep is the cinematographer. Releasing simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Languages, let’s see if Nene Raju Nene Mantri met the expectations of a common audience.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri - BookMyShowThe movie opens with Jogendra (Rana Daggubati) about to be hanged. Before the hanging, he starts narrating his story to the media as per his last wish. Jogendra is a happily married man who lends money on interest and makes a living. He can do anything to keep his wife Radha (Kajal Agarwal) happy. After three years of marriage, Radha gets pregnant. She loses her pregnancy while being beaten up by a village panchayat wife at a temple. Jogendra sketches a perfect plan and takes revenge on the Panchayat President. After a few incidents in his life, he takes up his career in Politics. In this process, he climbs step by step and reaches the pinnacle of success. How did Radha help in his political journey? Why was Jogendra being hanged? To know all these, you need to watch Nene Raju Nene Mantri.

Rana has nailed it with his terrific performances. His acting during emotional scenes was awesome and will easily connect with the audience. Kajal was adorable as Jogendra’s wife. Rana and Kajal's chemistry is the USP of Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Catherine Teresa (Devika Rani) was glamorous in the role of a TV journalist for a channel named Focus. Navdeep excelled in the first half as Jogendra’s right hand who, unfortunately, gets killed by Jogendra. Ashutosh Rana, Posani Krishna Murali and Ajay were seen in villainous roles and enacted their roles well.

Story, screenplay and direction by Teja are very good. There is a huge change from his previous movies. Right from the first scene, he was successful in keeping the audience glued to their seats. Cinematography by Venkat C Dileep is terrific. All the visuals look grand and the lightning he used gel well with the narration. Music and background score by Anoop Rubens is good. With a run time of 153 minutes, there is never a boring moment. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is crisp and neat.
