Amidst a dozen controversies, Sarkar is all set to release tomorrow, 12th May and all the 90s kids, who are now adults and interested in politics, are excited. Allegedly based on the life of Late Balasaheb Thackrey, Sarkar is a powerful man with a strong ethic and a stronger fan following. He is loved by all for his chaahnewaale, literally laakhon of them (stats source: the Sarkar 3 trailer).

If you missed out on watching the first two movies or cannot recollect much (in all fairness, they did release 9-12 years ago), you are at the correct place reading the correct piece. Let us quickly take you through the rise and fall of the rudraksh-dhaari Sarkar, embodied by none other than the terribly talented and charismatic Amitabh Bachchan. So much so that it is now impossible to imagine anyone as Sarkar, the powerful soch.

Sarkar 1

Loosely inspired by the Godfather series, Sarkar saw Subhash Nagre as a powerful and influential political leader, who doesn't do or allow anyone else to do immoral activities. When Don Rahseed tries to strike a deal with Sarkar, he refuses to do so because it doesn't fit the morals standards Sarkar has set for himself. Needless to say, he is an obstacle in the plan and a dangerous one. Sarkar must be eliminated, but how?! He is betrayed by his older son, Vishnu (played by Kay kay Menon). However, Nagre's younger son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) comes through. He assumes Sarkar's duties, while Sarkar spends some time with his family.

Sarkar Raj

Sarkar Raj saw Shankar leading the soch of Sarkar. When Anita (played by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) appproaches with a proposal to set up a power plant in a small village in Maharshtra, she is met with opposition from Subhash Nagre. However, Shankar manages to convince him that this would turn out to be a beneficial project. However, the political game in this one is strong. In the quest of power, Shankar is killed by hitmen hired by Qazi (Govind Namdeo), Vohra (Upendra Limaye) and Kaanga (Sayaji Shinde), under the supervision of Rao Sahab (the insanely talented Dilip Prabhavalkar).

After losing his two sons, Sarkar is now back with the iconic, goosebumps-inducing Govinda Govinda, and he still abides by the principle Saam Daam Dand Bhed. Apart from Mr. Bachchan, the other actors to look forward to are Jackie Shroff, Amit Sadh, Yami GautamRohini Hattandgadi, and Manoj Bajpayee. Don't miss this one. It's going to be intense!
