Baahubali 2: The Conclusion released last week and it has been breaking records. Dubbed as the ‘sequel of the year’, it is wreaking havoc at the box-office. The critics are in awe and the audience is going crazy over this larger-than-life saga. The hype for Baahubali 2 is not likely to be going down anytime soon. Even if you have watched it, you are already making plans to rewatch. Catch the movie as many times as you like, it isn’t leaving theatres in the near future. Vishwaroopam 2

The 2013 Kamal Hassan-starrer is back with a sequel. The movie also stars Rahul BosePooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah. Like Baahubali 2, Vishwaroopam 2 will also be released in multiple languages. Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor are set to take on the Hindi film, titled Vishwaroop II.


Superstar Rajini’s film is also releasing later this year. The 2010 film Enthiran’s sequel will star Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, alongside Rajinikanth. After Baahubali, 2.0 is touted to be the most anticipated movie of the south this year.

Velaiyilla Pattathari 2

The stars of the South are battling for the sequel of the year. While Baahubali 2 seems to have won, don’t write off these movies just yet. Velaiyilla Pattathari 2 or VIP 2, starring Dhanush, is set to release later this year and will be giving tough competition to the other movies.

The original movie released in 1997, now David Dhawan is back with his popular action comedy. This film will star David’s son, Varun Dhawan, in the lead double role, while Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu will be playing his love interests.

Tiger Zinda Hai

Tiger will be back this Christmas! The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer is in the works and is slated to release in December. Recently, Salman shared the first look of the film, which shows him and his ex-flame in a scene together.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Apart from Bollywood, Tollywood, and Kollywood, Hollywood also has some interesting sequels you need to watch out for. The new Pirates of the Caribbean movie will be out later this month. It stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, while some old characters are rumored to make a comeback.

Thor: Ragnarok

Who’s the greatest god of them all? Chris Hemsworth as Thor! The Norse god is returning with yet another Marvel film, which is scheduled to release in early November. Other superheroes who will be seen in the movie include The Hulk and Doctor Strange.
