Anticipating the release of Baahubali 2? You’re not alone. Film buffs all over the world are awaiting the release of the sequel to the magnum-opus that took Indian box-office by storm earlier this year. Fans of this franchise can rejoice as the director recently confirmed that he plans on making a third film in the franchise too.

Earlier last week, the director along with his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad in an interview to a Telugu channel admitted that he plans on making Baahubali 3. And, that’s what piqued the interest of fans.

The maverick director took to his social media platform to confirm the news. But instead of clearing the air, the director’s statements created more confusion. So much so that several publications began stating that the director will not be making the third part of the film.

The director once again took to Twitter to offer an official statement and stated that he plans on making Baahubali 3. He clarified though that it wouldn’t be a sequel to the first two parts but could be a spin-off.

Initially, SS Rajamouli had planned to make Baahubali as a one-part feature film. But, as the shoot of the film progressed, he decided to film and release it in two parts.

Released in theaters on 10 July, 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning has become one of the highest grossing Indian movies of all time. It has also been acclaimed in China and Japan. Needless to say, the overwhelming response to the film has led the director to make another epic saga. Did the news excite you too? Share your responses below.
