10 most-anticipated Tamil movies of 2015!

2014 was a great year for Tamil films. Big budget films sailed high at the box office, and so did experimental films. 2015 too, promises to be a great year for Tamil cinema. Just as we are embracing the grandeur of Shankar’s I, the expectations from several other releases is already high. We give you a list of 11 Tamil films that are sure to grab your attention this year!

1. Puli
Vijay starring in a fantasy-drama? Hell yes! Directed by Chimbudevan, this film promises to show a different avatar of the famed actor. Puli also marks the comeback of Sridevi, who will return to Tamil cinema after nearly three decades! 
2. Vallu
It’s been in-the-making for a long, long time and the film might just release this year (hopefully). If it does, it might very well satiate the hunger of all STR fans. The on-screen chemistry between him and his ex-flame, Hansika, will be one of the highlights of this film.
3. Kakki Sattai
Taking a break from his routine performance which consists of funny one-liners and hilarious dialogues, Sivakarthikeyan will play a serious role in this movie. He will play the role of a cop. After several successful collaborations with Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh has provided some chart-busting music to this film as well.
4. Irudhi Suttru
Chocolate hero Madhavan has beefed up and prepared himself to play the role of a boxing coach in this film. The actor has transformed himself from flab to fab, by intensely working on his physique, which will add authenticity to the role. The Hindi version of this film is titled, Saala Khadoos.
5. Uttama Villain
2015 is undoubtedly going to be Kamal Haasan‘s year, as the actor will have not one but three mega releases – Uttama Villain, Vishwaroopam 2 and Papanasam. Apart from the fact that Kamal Haasan stars in it, this movie is creating buzz because this is the last film in which the late filmmaker K. Balachander will be seen. This film has also raised the curiosity factor, due to the intriguing first-look and trailer.
6. Anegan
If all goes well, then Kovalveri Di star, Dhanush, might have two releases in February. One in Hindi (Shamitabh) and the other in Tamil(Anegan). Directed by ace filmmaker K. V. Anand, who earlier gave us racy-thrillers like Kho and Ayan, this Dhanush starrer is surely generating a lot of hype.
7. Vai Raja Vai
This director garnered the world’s attention after she made a film based on a bold subject like bipolar disorder, in her first film 3. Now Aishwarya Dhanush (daughter of Rajinikanth and wife of Dhanush) is all set to release her next film starring Gautham Karthik in the lead. 
8. Masss
After the astounding success of thriller films like Goa, Saroja and Mankatha, director Venkat Prabhu is filming a supernatural-thriller starring Suriya in the lead role.  Pranitha and Nayantara are the beauties who will add spice to this film.
9. Nannben da
The winning team of Udhayanidhi and Santhanam are back with Nannben da. Will this be a rib-tickling comedy like ‘OK OK‘? We’ll have to wait and watch.
10. Okay Kanmani
His last three films may have been debacles at the box  office, but that doesn’t stop film buffs from being fervent supporters of the amazing director, Mani Ratnam. And this year, the ace director will give us a breezy romantic entertainer – Okay Kanmani. This film stars Dulquer and Nithya Menon in lead roles, with music by A. R. Rahman. The brand name speaks for itself. Doesn’t it?
