Yes, it is time to celebrate, we are nearing the half-year mark and we have survived. We made some new year resolutions and broke all of them. And we will be the first ones to say out loud that movies have helped a lot with our survival. June started off on a high note with some new age movies like Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and Veere Di Wedding leaving us impressed. This week, it is time to take it a notch higher with two epics clashing. It is time for the event of the year as an extinct species collides with an immovable force. It is dinosaurs vs Rajinikanth this week. Are you ready?
First, let’s talk about the dinosaurs
The Jurassic saga got a major reboot with Jurassic World (2015) and fans of all ages were very excited about it. The movie came in fifth as the highest-grossing film of all time. We all know by now that live dinosaurs for a theme park are a bad idea but we never learn. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is all set to release on 7th June with the new favorites like Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprising their roles.

Also, Jeff Goldblum is making a comeback to the Jurassic franchise with this movie and we cannot wait for that. The movie also seems to be feeling the Rajinikanth heat and is releasing on 7th May instead of a traditional Friday release. Now, let’s talk about Rajinikanth
After a gap of two years, the Thalaiva is back on screen this week. The Kaala fever has already begun and everyone is gearing to celebrate the event of the year with applying for leave and booking first-day-first-show tickets. The movie is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi across the nation on 8th June. Accompanying Rajnikanth in this movie are Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, and Sayaji Shinde. The action-packed Hindi trailer has already more than 3 million views on YouTube.

The movie is directed by Pa. Ranjith who also directed Kabali (2016). The star power of Rajinikanth certainly gives the movie an edge over Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Stay tuned for more information on the movie. You can also book your tickets right here.
