If there’s one political thriller that has gripped the audience in recent times, it is director K. V. Anand’s Ko that released in 2011. The Jiiva-starrer movie shed light on the politics and the freedom of press in our nation. It was also packed with enough action, drama and unexpected twists that made it interesting. The smartly-made thriller turned out to become a trend setting film. Now the makers of the film are ready with the second installment in the Ko franchise. Directed by debutant Sarath, Ko 2 film stars Bobby Simha, Nikki Galrani and Prakash Raj in lead roles.
The trailer starts off with Bobby Simha delivering lines from a popular poem by renowned poet and activist of the pre-independence era – Subramania Bharati. And he delivers those with utmost conviction. As the trailer progresses, it reveals elements that take digs at political parties and exposing them. But the best part of the trailer is the appearance by famed actor Prakash Raj. It has to be mentioned that the trailer looks quite similar to the Telugu film Prathinidhi (2014) that starred Nara Rohith in the lead. The film is set to release this April, which is perfectly timed with the state elections.
What did you think about the trailer? Will it be as good as Ko or better? Share your views with us in the comments section.
