Sweet, feel-good, and yet intense – these words describe one of Malayalam cinema’s most successful films recent times – Bangalore days. Directed by Anjali Menon, this film received a positive response from audience and critics alike; so much so that it went on to become one of the highest-grossing films in Malayalam cinema. This film is also credited for breaking stereotypes. It broke the notion that only a male filmmaker can succeed in cinema.

The film worked on two key factors – a new-gen cast, along with a fresh story. The plot of the film revolved around three cousins who rediscover their lives in the busy city of Bangalore. Nazriya, Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan brought life to this film, with their terrific performances that made their characters seem real. The film is also aimed at highlighting three parallel stories of its main characters, and merging it perfectly well. The film then, turned out to reach several other states of the nation, and gained appreciation from the youth. This film turned out to become a classic. The astounding success of the film has paved way for the remake of the film.
The film has been remade in Tamil as Bangalore Naatkal. The film stars Sri Divya, Arya and Bobby Simha in the lead. The film has all the essential ingredients that’ll make this a hit. Hot stars, good music by Gopi Sunder (who composed for Bangalore Days as well) and good visuals. Although the trailer of the film looks vibrant, colourful and different, it has to be noted that the Tamil audience isn’t particularity anticipating the release of this film. The urban audience may have watched the original version of the film. However, there are several who are keen on watching this youth entertainer. One thing is for sure, there are a lot of expectations riding on Bangalore Naatkal.
‘Bommarillu’ Bhaskar, who is popular for making breezy entertainers in Telugu, has directed this film.  What are your expectations from this film? Tell us your views in the comments below.
