Thoongaavanam: All you need to know about Kamal Haasan’s next

The first-look posters of Kamal Haasan‘s Thoongavanaam is storming the internet, and has his fans going ga-ga over it! Clad in leather jacket with a blood-stained white shirt, Kamal Haasan looks intense!

Earlier last week, Kamal Haasan had announced that his next project will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual (Cheekati Rajyam), produced by Raj Kamal films and directed by his former assistant, M. Rajesh. Interestingly the title of the film means ‘A forest that never sleeps’ – indicating that the audience can expect a certain level of mystery from the thriller film.

The announcement comes weeks after Kamal Haasan’s last film, Uttama Villain was released. The film faced financial trouble, and ran into controversy with religious groups.
Thoongaavanam will star Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, marking her second association with the actor, after Manmadhan Ambu. Prakash Raj and Uma Riaz Khan play pivotal roles in the film. The grapevine suggests that Manisha Koirala and ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’ fame Anaika Soti might also be roped in to play important roles. The camera will be handled by Sanu Varghese, editing by Vijay Shankar and music by Ghibran.
