Irrespective of the subject, animated musicals are often dismissed as being aimed at children. But hey, you don’t need to be below a certain age to enjoy an entertaining short film; especially if it happens to be one of the most exciting productions of this century.

The most epic bedtime story of all time unfolds in Tarboy, a sleek and stylish animated short. A man begins telling his robot grandson about a time when the greedy Fat Cats ruled the world. They relentlessly made their poor slaves work, until the day they decided to toss all of them into a tar pit. All the slaves though turn into a unified being called Tarboy, and he’s all set to wreak havoc!

Tarboy is a brilliant short film that features sharp action and brilliant animation. Though the story is fairly simple, it is presented in a way that makes it a million times more riveting. The storytelling style, combined with the stellar animation and the music, makes Tarboy one of the sharpest musicals of all time.

It is, however, a fast-paced entertainer that you must not miss.
