What are Bollywood movies if not for their uber dramatic climax scenes? Well, a movie is often incomplete if the story doesn’t reach its climax with a happy/sad ending, or a literal closure. However, there is one Bollywood movie that did not bother having a climax at all.
Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin was shot in 1994 and took ten years to release, finally hitting the screens in 2004. However, the film starring Akshay Kumar and Sridevi did not have enough time to shoot a climax because the producer was nowhere to be found!
The story revolves around a village girl Durga (Sridevi) who marries her childhood love Ajay (Akshay Kumar) and comes to live with him in the city.
Akshay Kumar spoke about the movie in one of his Koffee With Karan episodes, while talking about his crush, Sridevi. They shot the entire movie but at the end, they simply hold hands and say, “Ab Hum Badla Lenge. ”
Interestingly, they never went forward to seek revenge and the movie ends with a note, “Aur phir un dono ne mil ke badla liya. “ The movie ends with Akshay and Sridevi dancing to a song.
Also, Akshay was quite a newcomer at that time and dancer Chinnu Prakash had to first show Akshay’s movie Khiladi to Sridevi before she said yes.
