Last year began with a bang. In the first two months itself, Bollywood gave us two films that were not only money spinners but were praised by the critics. While Neerja and Airlift impressed in 2016, this year, only Jolly LLB 2 managed to win hearts and set the cash registers ringing. But let’s not lose hope as many of the upcoming Hindi films have great potential. They not only have a great cast, but their trailers and music have created a buzz too. Read on to know which are the soon-to-release Bollywood movies we can’t wait for.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

We all loved Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and its second installment looks as funny. Starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, the film is shot in India and Singapore. Karan Johar has once again backed the project and even promoted it by calling the lead actors on his show, Koffee with Karan. Don’t forget to read our Badrinath Ki Dulhania review on March 10, 2017, and till then have a look at what we think about its music.

Naam Shabana

Taapsee Pannu had just twenty minutes of screen time in Baby but since her character was appreciated, Neeraj Pandey decided to make a spinoff film on her backstory. So, Naam Shabana is basically a prequel to the Akshay Kumar-starrer and the actor has also made a special appearance in the movie. The Naam Shabana trailer was out some time ago and the film releases on March 31, 2017.

Anushka Sharma had turned producer with NH10, a brilliant thriller that released in 2015. Phillauri is her second venture and besides her, it stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi fame). The film seems to be inspired by Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, but we can only confirm that once it releases on March 24, 2017.

Sarkar 3

Sarkar 3 stars Amitabh Bachchan, Yami Gautam, Amit Sadh, Jackie Shroff, Ronit Roy, and Manoj Bajpayee. The film is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and due to the stellar cast, the expectations are high. Sarkar 3 was slated to release in March, but will now hit the theatres on April 7, 2017.
