Kurup’s first look released on Dulquer’s birthday
The heartthrob of youngsters in South India, Dulquer Salmaan celebrated his 34th birthday on 28th of July and on that auspicious occasion, a sneak peek of his upcoming film, ‘Kurup’ was released. The film is directed by Srinath Rajendran (Second Show fame) and features Dulquer as SukumaraKurup, a celebrated criminal from Kerala who is still absconding. Fans are eagerly looking forward to the trailer as well as the release of the film, which are yet to be announced. We are sure the film will be a milestone in DQ’s career.
Qalbee will stir your soul
The title song of Shane Nigam starrer Qalb is out and it is extremely beautiful. This soul-stirring song sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan has been composed by Vimal Nazar and Reneesh Basheer. According to sources, the film is a love story traversing through various stages of love life. This one directed by Sajid Yahiya would be releasing soon, but the details are yet to be revealed. The title song apparently describes the spiritual side of love and it is soothing to listen to.
First looks of Love and Djinn are out
The first look of Khalid Rahman directorial ‘Love’ and ‘Djinn’ directed by Sidharth Bharathan are out. From the first look poster, ‘Love’ starring Rajisha Vijayan and Shine Tom Chacko in the lead seem to be a thriller and looks quite intriguing. The motion poster of ‘Djinn’ was unveiled by Dulquer Salmaan and it shows Soubin Shahir in a meditative pose. The film is expected to be a fantasy thriller. Other details of the films including trailer and release are yet to be announced and we are eagerly waiting for the same.
Helen to be remade in Bollywood
Anna Ben starrer survival thriller ‘Helen’ directed by newcomer Mathukutty Xavier gets a Bollywood remake! According to sources. The rights of the film have been bagged by Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor will be essaying the titular role. The producer of ‘Helen’, actor-director Vineeth Sreenivasan announced this on his social media page and it has been getting mixed feedback from the audience.
Nivin Pauly Bags Best Actor Award at NYIFF
Nivin Pauly’s performance in Moothon was lauded by critics and viewers alike and now, he has bagged the best actor award at the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF). Moothon also grabbed two other awards at the festival including that for best film and best child actor and the director of the film, Geetu Mohandas had shared her joy in receiving this recognition. This is Nivin’s first-ever international award and we totally look forward to him grabbing more in the future.
We lost actor Anil Murali
Actor Anil Murali passed away due to a liver ailment. The actor famous for his negative roles succumbed to death at the age of 56. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who had earlier worked with Anil in various films paid tribute on social media.
