How many times in a day do you call your best friend/younger sibling "Fukra"? Well, it all started three years back with the release of the movie Fukrey, starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand. It revolved around the story of four youngsters from Delhi, who came together to make some easy money.

The exuberance of youth is highly infectious and that is why (we guess) one loves the movie Fukrey, and all the characters of the film from Bholi Punjaban to Choocha. It’s been a long time and all the characters must have done so much in this span. Let’s have a look at their acting career after the movie:

Pulkit Samrat

Pulkit who played Hunny alias Vikas Gulaati has come a long way in the industry since then. After Fukrey, he was seen sharing space with Salman Khan in the film Jai Ho. He is often seen in TV commercials as well. After Jai Ho, he did four more films viz. O Teri, Dolly Ki Doli, Bangistan and Sanam Re. He will be seen sharing space with his Sanam Re co-star Yami Gautam again in Junooniyat releasing this Friday, 17th June.

Varun Sharma

From acting in Virgin Mobile commercials to Rohit Shetty‘s Dilwale, our very own Choocha from the movie has become a familiar face in the industry. Fukrey marked his debut in Bollywood, and he won two awards for Best Performance in a Comic Role for this movie. After this, he was seen in a number of movies like Rabba Main Kya Karoon, Warning, Yaaran Da Katchup (Punjabi), Angrej, Dolly Ki Doli and Kapil Sharma‘s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. He was last seen sharing screen space with the Badshah of Bollywood, SRK and Varun Dhawan in Dilwale.

Ali Fazal

Ali Fazal was already a popular face after his special appearance as Joy Lobo in the cult movie 3 Idiots. After Fukrey, he was seen in films like Bobby Jasoos, Sonali Cable, and Khaamoshiyan until he came into the limelight again for doing a special appearance in Furious 7. Fazal who played Zafar in the movie, experimented with his career by doing short films and web series i.e. Cheers and Bang Baaja Baraat, respectively. He has also been a part of an Indo American film "For Here Or To Go?". He has a few films under production and we will see him back on the big screen very soon.

Manjot Singh

Manjot Singh a.k.a. Lali has been doing comic roles since the much-appreciated Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008). After Fukrey, he was seen in a few movies like What The Fish and Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya. He was also a part of the Md. Azharuddin-inspired film Azhar that released recently, in which he portrayed the role of young Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Priya Anand

Priya Anand alias Priya, is a famous Tamil actress who has done more than 15 films including three for Bollywood. She made her debut alongside Sri Devi in her comeback film English Vinglish and then went on to do two more Bollywood films- Rangrezz and Fukrey. After Fukrey, she has been consistently doing Tamil films and has a few lined up for this year as well.

Vishakha Singh

Vishakha’s career has been a tough one with a few films that never released. She got noticed in the film Kheley Hum Jee Jaan Se and that led to Fukrey, where she played Neetu, the lady love of Zafar (Ali Fazal). After Fukrey, she did Bajatey Raho and went back to the South Indian film industry.

Richa Chadda who played Bholi Punjaban in the movie is rocking the B-town with her amazing performances. After Fukrey, she became a part of many wonderful films like the critically acclaimed film Masaan and the blockbuster Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. She was also a part of the Randeep Hooda – starrer Main Aur Charles and Sarbjit. Her performances have always been highly appreciated by the biggies of Bollywood. She also did a cameo for the TV series 24 and the film Chalk And Duster. The unconventional beauty is currently waiting for the release of her 10th movie after Fukrey, Cabaret, that has been inspired by Helen’s life.
