India is eagerly awaiting the dawn on February 16 for the nation’s very first extreme sports and music festival – MTV Xtreme. Adding the extra zing to the the event is the return of America’s thrash metal band – Megadeth Band to India. The countdown has begun for the most awaited adrenalin-pumping, heartbeat-soaring and jaw-dropping event.
Things can’t get more exciting and adventurous in the week of love with bike stunts and headbanging music. For those of you who love to watch extreme sports, MTV brings it live exclusively for you at the Buddh International Circuit, New Delhi this Sunday i.e. February 16, 2014. Parkour specialist Ryan Doyle, stunt bikers Ghost Ryderz and Rafał Pasierbek will be performing never seen before stunts for their audiences. And there will be music. Lots and lots of groovy music by world famous American thrash metal band – Megadeth band along with other bands including electro rock band Pentagram, hard rock veterans Parikrama, rock band Indus Creed, groove metal band Providence and alt/grunge rock band Blakc.
Megadeth came into scene when Stone Temple Pilot who were to give their maiden performance in India called of their gig including other upcoming concerts owing to scheduling conflicts. “Due to a delay in their recording schedule, Stone Temple Pilot has cancelled all their upcoming gigs and concerts in Asia, including MTV Xtreme. But we’re happy to say that the show will go on”, announced Jaideep Singh, Sr. VP and Business Head, Integrated Network Solutions, Viacom 18.
Megadeth band along with Parikrama and Pentagram are returning to India for the third time. Led by vocalist-guitarist Dave Mustaine along with Dave Ellefson, Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover, the band performed for the first time in India in 2008 at the Rock In India festival alongside metal band, Machine Head. They were last seen headlining at the 2012 Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Delhi.
