Bhoomi: Soundcheck

Verdict – Upbeat and situational.

Sanjay Dutt is finally making his comeback with Bhoomi which is all set to hit the cinemas this week, almost three years after the release of his last movie, PK, where he played the role of Bhairao Singh. This time, Dutt will be seen playing the role of Aditi Rao Hydari (Bhoomi's) father. From what we've seen in the posters and trailers, we can derive that the movie is going to be pretty intense and dark. Although we do have an idea of the plot, we can't help but be intrigued by the entire story. For now, the jukebox of the movie is out and we decided to do a quick review on what we thought about the album of this movie.

Lag Jaa Gale
The first song of the album is a romantic melody in the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan called Lag Jaa Gale. Composed by Sachin-Jigar, this song shows the love story between Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddhant Gupta in the movie.

Trippy Trippy
The next one is a catchy song named Trippy Trippy which features Sunny Leone and is sung in Neha Kakkar and Badshah's voice. We wouldn't say this is the best song of the movie but if you're a party goer then you might just hear this song playing very frequently.

Kho Diya
A little modern, a little classical, Kho Diya is extremely nice and soothing to the ears. The song is composed by Sachin-Jigar and is sung in the voice of Sachin Sanghavi.

Will You Marry Me
The peppiest song of the album, Will You Marry Me, sung in the voice of Sukhwinder Singh and Jonita Gandhi is definitely one of our favorites from the movie. This upbeat number grows on you and makes you want to dance.

Slow and situational, Daag is yet another song sung by Sukhwinder Singh, except that this one will give you goosebumps. This song focuses more on the storyline and also connects you to the characters of the film.

Jai Mata Di
This devotional song sung by Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Gogavle is a rendition of the popular Hindu prayer and while the song may not be as popular now, it might just pick up with the release of the movie.

In case you don't remember, Bhoomi releases on the 22nd of September. Stay tuned for our review of the movie.
