India has seen Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. Now it is time for Anthrax (from the Big 4) to perform live in India. Yes. Anthrax India tour is the perfect icing on the heavy metal cake. Anthrax is heavy metal formed way back in 1981. It was formed by Scott Ian and Danny Lilker. They have been around for three decades and have rocked crowds out ever since inception.

Like most other metal bands they have also seen their fair share of ups and downs. There were multiple vocalists associated with Anthrax. Some of the vocalists include Neil Turbin, John Bush and Joey Belladona.

Their music is hard-hitting and heavy. The band has given us massive hits such as Madhouse, I'm Eighteen, Anti-Social, Lone Justice and many more. Anthrax along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer performed at the Sonisphere festival. This was touted as "The Big 4". It was the first time these metal bands performed together. Considering that all these bands share very tense relationships with each other, watching all of them perform on one stage (including the part where all of them came together and performed the song – Am I Evil?) is something every metal fan dreamed of.

Anthrax is a must watch for all metal fans of India. Be it nu-metal or old-school metal, Anthrax is one the bands that started it all back in the day. Their riffs, catchy melodies and strong lyrics set them a class apart from all the metal bands that exist as of today. They have been around for really long and there is a reason behind it. They are brilliant.

Anthrax India tour is part of the Fly Music Festival taking place in New Delhi and Bangalore on the 16th and 17th of February. This is one concert no music fanatic should miss.
