Years ago, India was never the ultimate destination for music aficionados, whether it was pop or electronic or even rock. But a lot has changed over the past decade. With the introduction and success of numerous festivals, India is steadily growing prominent on the map for the music industry. By now, almost every famed artist has come to India. There are a few big names left to perform here, of course, but we're getting there. With BookMyShow turning 10 years old this week, we decided to list out 10 of the biggest artists who have performed in India in the past decade. Let us know if we missed any, in the comments below.
Easily the biggest show in India so far, the fans cried when Chris Martin took to the stage. The band performed as part of the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai last year, which also saw international names like Jay Z and Demi Lovato open for the band.

The heavy metal band slayed it in Bangalore, giving rock and metal fans a lot to cheer about.
Easily the biggest name in dubstep, Skrillex played a banging set in Mumbai last year, keeping everyone up with insane energy levels.
A name that was awaited for the longest time, finally made it to India for a three-city tour back in March, 2014. He aims to return.
Another big name in the electronic music industry, and one that was not only awaited but also not hopeful, since he rarely tours outside the USA. By some miracle, he decided to drop by.
One of the biggest DJs in the world, he has performed a few times in India, with his last show being a part of Enchanted Valley Carnival in Aamby Valley in 2015.
