Benny Dayal 

Balleilakka from Sivaji was Dayal’s first song as a playback singer. After that, he has worked extensively with Rahman and claims that whatever he has learned is from the maestro.

Jonita Gandhi

Vishal-Shekhar may have launched her with Chennai Express but Gandhi only got noticed after Imtiaz Ali's Highway. She crooned the tracks, Kahaan Hoon Main and Implosive Silence, in the 2014 film.

Chinmayi Sripada

This popular Tamil singer considers A. R. Rahman her godfather. Her biggest hit – Tere Bina from Guru – composed by him.

Mohit Chauhan 

Though Mohit Chauhan has worked with various music directors, he’s best known for songs that have been composed by Rahman. The Rockstar album, Khoon Chala, and Masakali are the duo’s most famous collaborations.

Naresh Iyer

A. R. Rahman spotted Iyer in Channel V's reality show, Super Singer. He gave him his debut song – Mayilirage, and now has worked with him for a track in Vijay’s Mersal.
