Best Live Acts of 2017

'Tis that time of the year! Before we jump into a new year, grow older (why?) and wiser (hopefully), we decided to recap all the cool things that went down in 2017. Here are the artists who came, who played and conquered (our hearts, that is)!

Justin Bieber – The pop superstar brought his Purpose World Tour in India and you can imagine the hysteria surrounding this. Or maybe not! From the crazy heat-humidity to the rumored lip-synching, Beliebers still had the time of their lives.

Ed Sheeran – Ed recently returned to India as part of his tour, performing his hits 'Shape of You' and 'Perfect' from his new album. His Sheerios loved it but were probably worried after pictures from Farah Khan's party were released. He also donned a customized Divide Kurta for the concert! What were the chances…Check out what else happened at Sheeran's concert here.

The Chainsmokers – The 'Closer' hitmakers were part of the Road To Ultra lineup along with other EDM artists. Towards the end of the concert, Alex Pall (one half of the duo) ended up dropping an f-bomb because of the heat. We can only empathize.

KYGO – Though not his first time performing in India, this time DJ Kygo headlined the Sunburn Arena concert. He played his mix of popular tracks like The Chainsmoker's 'Don't let me down' and Gotye's 'Somebody that I used to know'. That wasn't all though – he also played 'Mundiya Tu Bachke Rahi' out of nowhere. Kinna Sona Munda Ae!

AR Rahman – AR Rahman is currently mesmerizing the Indian audience through his Encore concert. In the 3-hour long concert, the music maestro is joined by other Bollywood singers like Mohit Chauhan and Javed Ali who have both sung his compositions in multiple movies.

Vidya Vox – YouTube sensation Vidya Vox who is known for her Bolly-pop mashups already has more than 3 million fans on her channel. Her Kuthu Fire Tour had 6 stops in the country where she performed her popular mashups like Closer-Kabira, along with songs from her EP.

Alan Walker – Alan was the opening act for Justin Bieber's concert. He kept the audience entertained with his hits 'Faded' and 'Alone'. The 19-year-old DJ also stated that he would like to collaborate with Indian artists. Yes, please!

Clearly, we had a fantastic year in music, but there's more to come. Start saving up because, in 2018, James Blunt and Marshmello will be here as well!
