The Sunburn fever doesn't just start at the festival. Sunburn organizes many year-long Sunburn Arena gigs with prominent artists from around the world to keep the party going all across India. This year, we've already had the American-Indian KSHMR and India's favorite EDM artist, Nucleya, perform multi-city tours. The latest and one of the most anticipated Sunburn Arena gigs of the year was Ola Sunburn Arena with Kygo.
The Norwegian music producer and DJ performed in Hyderabad on 24th November and in Mumbai on 26th November. In his second performance at Mumbai, he was supported by three other EDM artists – homegrown talents Arsh and Anish Sood, followed by the rising American artist, Frank Walker. Anish Sood ended his set by playing some tracks from his upcoming album. By the time it was 8:30, Frank Walker had the crowd warmed up for the one person everyone had been waiting all evening for – Kygo.
It was Kygo's first ever performance in Mumbai. Kygo started his set strong with Stole The Show. He played for one and a half hour with a mix of remixes of popular songs and original songs. The remixes included Ed Sheeran's Shape of You, Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MØ's Lean On, Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing, and even the recent Spanish hit that has topped charts worldwide, J Balvin and Willy Williams' Mi Gente. A surprise track was the Punjabi song Mundiyan Tu Bach Ke Rahi. He finally gave his goodbyes after It Ain't Me, but the crowd began chanting for Firestone. For those who don't know, Firestone was the first original track that Kygo had released. It holds a special place for his fans, and Kygo couldn't say no to them. The stage lit up once more and by popular demand, Kygo returned to play Firestone for a sizzling final performance.
