Visually Stunning Songs 2015 (Tamil)

 Indian movies are almost incomplete without songs. These songs are packed as montages, or the conventional duet numbers. They are also responsible for increasing the entertainment factor for films. Some of us may watch a film, just for the special numbers composed by our favorite music directors. 2015 has witnessed a variety of songs that stunned us with the visuals. Some of these may not have performed well at the box-office, but the songs were well-remembered by the audience. Let’s take a look at some stunning visuals, that complemented your favorite songs.

1. Mental Mandhil – Oh Kadhal Kanmani
Music Director: A. R. Rahman

It is said that A. R. Rahman saves the best tunes for ace director Mani Ratnam, and in 2015, Oh Kadal Kanmani serves as a proof for it. The song Mental Manadhi featured Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen storming through the roads of Mumbai, on a bike. This innovative slow-motion styled video was shot by noted cinematographer, P. C. Sreeram.
2. Pookale – I
Music Director: A. R. Rahman

The songs in director Shankar’s films are characterized by grand visuals, and Pookale from I from no exception. The song was shot in the serene locations of China. The video’s strength was the saturated colors, which made the song look dreamy. Vikram and Amy Jackson‘s chemistry made it look better. This also was shot by P.C. Sreeram.
3. Unakkenna venum sollu – Yennai Arindhal

Music Director: Harris Jayaraj

Shot in multiple locations such as Rajasthan, Punjab and Sikkim; the song portrayed the bond between a father and his daughter. The smooth transition from one exotic location to another made it seem like the viewer is travelling with the characters. The heart-warming visuals were brought to life by cinematographer, Dan Macarthur.
4. Oorelam Unnai Kandu – Nannbenda

Music Director: Harris Jayaraj

Beautiful location, color coordinated outfits and harmonious dance sequence make this song feature in this list of visually stunning songs. The film may not have performed well at the box-office, but the song certainly struck a chord with the audience. Shot by cinematographer Balasubramaniem in Pura Tirta Empul (founded in 962 A.D, Bali), it had simple yet striking dance moves that were in sync with the song. The lyrics of the song praised Nayanthara’s beauty, and needless to say that she looks  extremely pretty in the song.
5. Baahubali – Dheerane

Music Director: M. M. Keeravaani

The list cannot be complete with this number from S. S. Rajamouli’s masterpiece – Baahubali. The song featured Prabhas who in an effort to find out the identity of a girl (Tamannaah), reaches the top of a mountain – a feat that nobody else from his village had accomplished. Loaded with visual effects this song was a proof of what breathtaking visuals looks like. A genius craft that deserves attention. The stunning song visuals were captured by cinematographer Senthil Kumar. Not to forget how ethereal Tamannaah looked in the song.
