If you are a resident of South Bombay, chances are that you don’t go anywhere other than the NCPA to catch plays or concerts. After all, St. Andrews Auditorium and Prithvi Theatre are towards the other end of the city. But with the reopening of Royal Opera House, townies have another place to catch grand productions. Since these stages are nothing short of exemplary, only the best performances happen here. Even with the rise of smaller modern theatre spaces, the NCPA will always remain a SoBo favorite for theatre. So if you’re looking forward to a culturally rich month, here are the events you need to keep an eye out for at your favorite venue:
Famous theatrical duo Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah return to the stage with Florian Zeller’s French drama, The Father. The play will be in English and is set to run at the Experimental Theatre every day of the month.
