A New Face, A New Phase

We have just entered a brand new Phase and launched itself with a brand new Face. Our brand identity changes but we remain the same. The same ol’ daily dose of entertainment in a fresh, simplified and exciting avatar!

What the logo is all about? Well, here’s an insight:

The Ticket
The simplest association with anything entertainment is the “ticket”. To watch, you need a ticket. The ticket shape is a well -recognized symbol by our Target Audience and is a well -understood icon, globally.

The overall shape of the identity retains the older construction of an enclosed “my” by the ticket shape and the “book” & “show” on either side hence suggesting a progressive evolution of the offerings!

The Color Red
Entertainment is “Red”, the color of very strong human emotions. The evangelists of entertainment, BookMyShow , naturally, has the personality of an urbane entertainer.Red represents the energy & passion of BookMyShow towards facilitating the ease & efficiency of the booking experience.

The Font
The use of lower case characters for the word mark reflects the friendliness and approachable brand personality. This typeface has a confident aesthetic, lending it a modern, young & dynamic personality which allows BookMyShow to engage with a younger target audience in a stylish manner.

The Tilt
The angle represents the art of looking at things differently.
The Tilt represents the ethos of BookMyShow as a progressive & innovative brand.

The Zigzag
The zig zag represents the perforations of a ticket, supporting the form of the ticket and relying on the common impression of a ticket having perforations for the counterfoil.

The Tagline
The positioning & opportunity for BookMyShow to become
synonymous with an assured seat, for a show & time of choice for it’s target audience is captured in the tagline.

…And presenting the new face of BookMyShow…

Please go back to your old design…. As a designer its a pain looking at Blood red. and not so well developed font and an amature logo

Ps: Remember what happened to free charge when Paytm came up with a good Design.
