Anushka Sharma is back with her zany energy in the brand new trailer of NH10. In case you aren’t aware, NH10 takes its name from the national highway that connects Delhi to the border areas of Punjab. Directed by Navdeep Singh and produced by Anushka Sharma, the film is set in village of Haryana. It also stars Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumaar.
If you are expecting a fun road-trip film with breathtaking song sequences, NH10 isn’t for you. Breaking free from all the clichés, NH10 chronicles a couple’s road trip gone awry. Meera (Anushka Sharma) and Arjun (Neil Bhoopalam) plan a romantic road trip across the country. But little do they know that their lives will get sucked into the dark and vicious circle of human trafficking.
The trailer sure looks promising. There’s no doubt that it spells Anushka Sharma all over. The actress will be seen in an absolutely new avatar. Does it remind you of Uma Thurman from Kill Bill? NH10 isn’t the only offbeat film in Anushka’s line-up for 2015. She will be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir drama Bombay Velvet, which is based on Gyan Prakash’s Mumbai Fables.
Although the critics raved about Navdeep Singh’s debut film Manorama Six Feet Under, it wasn’t a commercial success. But as the trailer of NH10 unravels, we are more and more intrigued. Will Meera and Arjun survive the extreme?
