The reigning supermodel, Gigi Hadid, and the international designer brand, Tommy Hilfiger collaborated last year to provide us with some of the most stylish pieces of fashion. Their outfits dominated the New York Fashion Week last season, and they are back this season with Gigi designing a capsule collection for Tommy. The Spring Tommy x Gigi collection was part of the brand’s blowout show in Venice Beach, California. For novices, you must know that Tommy believes in a see-now-buy-now policy, so the outfits are for sale immediately after the show. So we thought of looking at some of these designs and giving you an insight on what we think about them.
The theme is mostly nautical and the collection features loads of bomber jackets. From denim trench coats to sunny yellow, striped swimsuits, the collab is a tribute to the 70’s Californian dream girl.
One of our favorites: The Co-ord
Unlike most of the runway pieces, this one you can actually wear without putting in too much effort into the look. The co-ord in itself is enough to make you look hot.
A perfect outfit for girls’ day out
The floral printed maxi with a deep neck makes for the perfect look for the day. We loved the pleats, it adds a lot of fun to the dress.
The casual look at its best
The patch-work on the jeans along with the red bomber jacket gives us the grunge feels. It’s apt for the girl who doesn’t like thinking too much about what to wear.
Got the body? Flaunt it!
Have a beach vacay coming up soon? Don’t forget to get hold of this bright yellow bikini.
A sucker for wedges? You’ll love this collection
You can pair these with a dress or a skirt for brunch. Our personal favorite would have to be the denim ones, the patch-work on them, giving them an edge.
The collection also features totes, backpacks, watches, sunnies, a gold necklace with a big heart pendant and a nautical striped scarf. What surprised us the most is the collection’s ability to club preppy and bohemian together and make it look effortless. The Tommy x Gigi collection is now available in India on most of the online retail portals. So grab your favorites before they are sold out and don’t forget to tell us what you think about the duo’s trendy line.
