John Abraham who was last seen in the high-octane action thriller Force 2 is back with Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran. Apart from producing the movie, John is also co-producing the movie along with KriArj Entertainment. As a producer, John has always brought forth content-driven movies, be it Vicky Donor or Madras Café.
Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran is based on India’s first nuclear tests that were conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan in 1998. Along with John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani is starring in this movie. The movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma. The screenplay of the movie is written by Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyukhta Chawla. The duo had earlier written the screenplay for Neerja.
ABOUT THE MOVIE
John Abraham plays the role of Captain Ashwat Raina while Diana Penty plays the role of Captain Ambalika. The movie is based on true events, while the characters are ficticious. This is what John Abraham told about the movie, "Parmanu is an ode to the Army and scientists, who although ordinary people, truly accomplished extraordinary feats in the face of adversity to ensure that India finds its due place on the world nuclear map”.
