S. Shankar's film, 2.0, a sequel to the 2010 venture Robot, is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of 2017. The mega budget film stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles. The first look posters were released in November last year, in 2016. Superstar Rajini, who was last seen in Kabali, will reprise his role as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti – the Robot in 2.0. Akshay Kumar on the other hand, will play the primary antagonist. His first look is absolutely menacing and definitely scarier than anything you have seen yet. The actor might have played negative roles before, however, this role might be unprecedented on many levels.
The film, which had been in the pipeline for a few months, is finally nearing completion. The film will soon go into post-production. Reports say that the satellite rights of the film, have already been sold for a whopping INR 110 crore.
Raju Mahalingam, the COO of Lyca Productions took to Twitter to share the news.
