RANI’S DREAM ROLE
Actress Rani Mukherjee and filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj unveiled a non-fiction book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, based on women gangsters of the Mumbai underworld, by noted crime journalist Hussain Zaidi at Phoenix Mills, Mumbai. Previous work of the author includes the much acclaimed ‘Black Friday: The True Story of the Bombay Bomb Blasts’ which was later made into a film by Anurag Kashyap.

The dusky actress told TOI, "I would love to play a mafia queen in a gangster film which will hopefully be an adaptation of this book. I’ve never played such a character and this seems to be the perfect opportunity."
After playing a crime journalist in "No one killed Jessica", we’re sure Rani can do justice to the mafia too!
