Rarandoi Veduka Chudham: Film Review – Love at its Purest Form

Verdict: Wholesome family entertainer with all commercial elements.

Rarandoi Veduka Chudham is the second movie for director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala after making a blockbuster debut in the form of Soggade Chinni Nayana. This is the first time that he is directing Naga Chaitanya and it is also the first time that Chaitanya is paired with Rakul Preet Singh. From the theatrical trailer, the dialogue “Aadavallu Manashanthiki Haanikaram” has become the talk of the town. Last year, Akkineni Nagarjuna had promised his fans that he will produce two blockbuster hits, one for each of his sons Chaitanya and Akhil and he announced that this is the first among them. He has a  lot confidence in this project that he retained the business of most of the territories. This is the biggest release for Naga Chaithanya and will translate it to the highest openings of his career. Let’s see what is in store for the audience.

As the title suggests, this is a pure commercial family entertainer targeted towards youth and family audience.

Shiva (Chaitanya) meets Brahmaramba (Rakul Preet Singh) at their cousin’s marriage and it is love at first sight for Shiva. Brahmaramba is a girl-next-door brought up with rich traditional values. Though she and Shiva grow close, it is strictly friendship for her and she conveys the same to Shiva. This makes Shiva hesitant to express his love. Under what circumstances does Shiva express his love? Will Brahmaramba see more than friendship in her relationship with Shiva? Will their families accept their love?

Naga Chaitanya has stepped into the commercial format after a long time and has succeeded in his image makeover. One could see shades of his dad’s acting from the yesteryear's cult classic Ninne Pelladatha. This is a dream role for any heroine to fit into the shoes of Brahmaramba’s character and Rakul Preet Singh has done an excellent job. She is beautiful in the traditional attire and excels at acting. Jagapathi Babu is perfect as Shiva’s father and a rich businessman. Sampath looked terrific as Brahmaramba’s father. Venella Kishore is hilarious with his impeccable comedy timing. PrudhviChalapathi RaoPosaniRaghu BabuBanerjeeSapthagiriThagubothu RameshKousalyaAnnapurnaSurekha Vani and others were decent.

Kalyan Krishna’s direction is good in parts and the movie takes a turn in the scene where Shiva expresses his love to Brahmaramba. Devi Sri Prasad’s music and background score is fantastic, especially the song Thakitha Thakadhum. Camera work by Vishweshwar is good and the production values by Annapurna Studios are grand.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

If you want to watch a feel-good love story with all commercial elements, then this one is for you.
