Radhika Apte is another find from the world of theater. Her versatile acting and strong performances thus should be no surprise. The lovely actress started her acting career with a theater troupe called Aasakta in Pune – from where she hails – and then made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! Radhika Apte started from the world of theater and owes most of her early success to Mohit Takalkar's theatre troupe 'Aasakta' in Pune. She has acted in Marathi, Hindi and English plays. Her work in Tu, Purnaviram, Matra Ratra and Samuel Beckett's That Time with Rehan Engineer, were greatly appreciated. She loves avant-garde theater and plans on working in London.
She has worked in many different cinemas
Radhika Apte has worked in Bengali, Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinemas. Her work has been appreciated in all kinds of films. From her performance in the Tamil film Dhoni, which almost got her nominated for SIIMA Award for Best Actress in Supporting Role. The actress' work was also appreciated in Lai Bhaari.
Her work in short films
Apte has done many short films. Darmiyan in 2006 (her first major short film), Bengali short Vakratunda Swaha, Hindi short film That Day After Everyday, the much-loved Bengali short film Ahalya, The Calling, Madly, and the most recent short film Kriti. She does an outstanding job in Ahalya and Kriti.

If you take a look at the films she does you will see a broad range of cinema. She doesn't limit herself to genres or commercial cinema. Recent commercial success
Radhika's work in Manjhi – The Mountain Man has been loved. She played Dashrath Manjhi's wife Falguni Devi in the film. Her role was limited to a flashback play but she does an incredible job in the film. Her another more recent role was in superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali. Her performance received positive feedback and has gotten a nod from the critics.
