Rickshaw rides and driving a bicycle, yehi meri life kay funday hai- Salman Khan

He is sweet, funny, versatile, whimsical, controversial but he is Bollywood’s ultimate People’s Man. His humane attributes, his generoisity and his philanthrophy is well-known. Bollywood’s Rambo,Salman Khan, has always been a crowd puller but recently he unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film “Jai Ho” amidst huge fan fare. Launching the trailer of the film at Juhu’s Chandan Cinema, a small surbuban cinema hall, only made the event more exuberant and stunting. The event which was open to public saw the star interacting with media in his noted dhasu-Mumbaiyaa ishtyle.

The event kickstarted with trailer which took off with Major Jai Agnihotri scribbling on a piece of paper. The trailer showed varied Salman-esque elements. We saw him beating up the goons in his signature action style which was succeeded with hefty dialogues and a grand entry.

Flaunting his lucky charm, the blue bracelet, when Salman filled the screen, the cheers of the audience followed. Khan who believes that his father, Salim Khan, is the real tiger of his Khan-daan said that the entire film has inputs from his father. The blue bracelet which has become synonymous to Khan’s personality was worn by Salim Khan for ages. When Salman saw it on his father’s wrist he liked it so much that “I xeroxed it,” he says. Salman has flaunted his bracelet before but with this film it gains immense importance, “it adds a real life quality to the film”.
The name of the film which was initially “Mental” was changed to “Jai Ho”. The suggestion for latter name too had been given by Salim Khan, says Salman. “Our father thought that the name did not suit the film so he suggested that we change it and I feel ‘Jai Ho’ is much better.” The film which is releasing on 24th January next year is a remake of a Cheeranjeevi blockbuster “Stalin”, it is directed by Sohail Khan and the poster for the film is painted by Salman himself. Speaking of which he says, “I had painted some 5-6 posters out of which this one was better.”
Much like the character that he portrays in the film of Major Jai Agnihotri, Salman too has stood up for injustice, “every single day of my life.” And one must voice against injustice, no matter what, he says. Talking about the unique idea of releasing the trailer in presence of fan based audience, Salman said, “Ever since I have worn Aamir’s hat such innovative ideas have been dawning on me…And I believe that Dhoom toh dhoom machayegi par ‘Jai Ho’ bhi dhoom machayegi!”
Being a people’s man that he is in reel as well as real life Salman shared his life’s fundeys with the viewers. “I love rickshaw rides, I love to drive bicycle. I sit in an AC car with windows down. Yehi fundey hai meri life kay!”
Although not much has been disclosed about the film but with lot of maar-dhhadnach-gana, drama and dialoguebaazi the film is sure to enter the 100 crore club, predict the trade pundits.
While the trade pundits continue with their prediction biz, we leave you with the trailer. Do let us know your views on the trailer….
