5 Roles We Would Want to See Rekha Play

A combination of beauty with talent is rare but for anyone who has seen Rekha will agree to the fact in a heartbeat that she is one of the very few who is gifted with both. The gorgeous diva who has ruled over the hearts of millions in the 70s and 80s (not even sparing her co-actors of her charm) turns 62 today (yes, believe it) and while we all know and have read at least a thousand times about her most iconic performances and the awards she has received for them, we thought we'd make a wishlist of a few really popular roles of Bollywood, which we all love, and would want to see this pretty lady in! Here is our list.

Would we not want to see her play a mythological character? And while we speak of mythology, the beautiful Draupadi from Mahabharat is what comes to our mind.

Indira Gandhi
Although we have witnessed a few movies on Indira Gandhi in the past, there is no doubt that a Rekha-starrer would be a class apart. The lady has got that mature and serious look to pull off as a politician.

Dhankor Ba (Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ramleela)

There is absolutely no doubt that Supriya Pathak blew us away with her stupendous performance but a part of us would still want to see Rekha play the malicious Dhankor- Ba who cuts off Leela's finger.

Kavita Malhotra (2 States)

The role of Arjun Kapoor's tough and loud Punjabi mother is something we all have seen and loved. Now how we would love to see Rekha playing that beloved mother?

Radha (Mother India)

She's strong, she's bold and she's single-handedly dealing with everything. See the similarity? Need we say that we are already listing down Rekha's traits here?

That's our wishlist for you. Which role would you want her to play? Comment below and let us know!
