Saptagiri LLB: Film Review – Dedicated to Honest Lawyers

Verdict: Sapthagiri excels in his fight for justice.

After working in several movies as a comedian, Sapthagiri has evolved as a complete actor and is trying his luck as a hero in recent times. His hero debut – Saptagiri Express – did decently at the box office and now he is back as a hero again with Saptagiri LLB. Music and background score has been rendered by Vijay Bulganin while cinematography was handled by Sarangam SR, with editing done by Goutham Raju. What’s Saptagiri LLB About:

Saptagiri is a lawyer by profession and wins all the panchayat trials in his village of Punganoor in Chittoor district. However, he doesn’t find much success in his real-time profession when he takes up any case in the District court at Chittoor. Later, he decides to move to Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Saptagiri has promised the father of his lady love, Chitti (Kashish Vohra), that he will win a case at Hyderabad and then marry Chitti. Under some circumstances, he lands up filing an appeal for the case that was already won by Tejendar Rajpal (Sai Kumar). The case relates to an accident committed by Rohit – son of a business tycoon – which claimed the lives of five persons sleeping on a footpath. What Sapatagiri did to win the case against a powerful lawyer forms the rest of the movie.

What Works:

Saptagiri LLB is a complete one-man show, where Sapthagiri entirely dominates the proceedings. His comedy timing, dance, and expressions while emoting emotional scenes are praiseworthy. He is evolving as an actor with every passing movie. Emotional dialogues highlighting the plight of farmers and the judicial system are some of the major highlights of this film. Sai Kumar has a lengthy role and does justice to his character. Shakalaka Shankar is hilarious in the role of Saptagiri’s colleague and friend. Technical crew has also done a decent job.

What Could Have Been Better:

The movie is made in a routine format with not much scope for novelty. Kashish Vohra's role is minuscule and limited to songs. Though the movie feels monotonous in parts, Saptagiri LLB has its moments with good dialogues and decent comedy scenes.

Why You Should Watch:

You should watch Saptagiri LLB for its wonderful message and entertaining moments. Dialogues pertaining to the plight of farmers are well executed.
