5 Movies That Scored 100% On Rotten Tomatoes

Rotten Tomatoes has been the end-all for watching a film. The site was launched in 1998 and eversince its Tomatometer has been aggregating critic and audience reviews in order to come to an overall response.

Now, whether you consider the RT (Rotten Tomatoes) score as the barometer to judge a film is up to you, but there’s no denying that getting a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes is no easy feat. Only a few have managed to achieve it. Here are five films that did:

Toy Story (1995)
Now considered a modern classic, Toy Story is based on the fantasies of toys coming to life when humans are not around. With the perfect blend of nostalgia, charm and catchy tunes this one managed to get to the top of the Tomatometer.

The Terminator (1984)
This film follows a man who comes to the present (or past), to save the life of the woman who gives birth to the world's savior in the future. It is indeed the originality of the film that got it that perfect 100.

The Last Picture Show (1971)
The Last Picture Show depicts the mediocre lives of aimless people with frustrated, unhappy and shallow lives. They not only cling to the dying town, but also try to find solace and escape from boredom in drinking, sexual encounters or by moving to the big city. The magnificent use of period and setting make this a delightful watch and the Rotten Tomatoes score proves it.

Singin' in the Rain (1952)
Singin' in the Rain is a movie about making movies. It is about romance, no doubt, but it also follows the film industry in a period of transition. The film simplifies the changeover from silents to talkies. Given that it is a true masterpiece of the classic Hollywood musical, should the RT score even surprise us?

Citizen Kane (1941)
Citizen Kane is said to be the greatest film ever made. This quasi-autobiographical film not only defies all conventional cinematic techniques, but also provides examples of innovative use of music and narrative structures. This film is still loved even after so many years. The Tomatometer is proof.
