She first appeared in Luck (2009). The film was a multi-starrer where Imran Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakraborty played the lead roles. The film bombed at the box office. Her other major films such as 7aum Arivu with Suriya and 3 with Dhanush were flops as well. However, these films helped her gain recognition among the South-Indian viewers. Her career graph changed with the 2012 release, Gabbar Singh. Since then, there was no looking back for Shruti Haasan. And now with her presence in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films, she has become a household name. All her film projects in 2017 are perhaps the biggest of her career. Very recently, she marked her red carpet debut at Cannes Film Festival that helped her grab eyeballs globally. Looks like this year will be a landmark in her career. Here is the list of her films that released and releases in 2017.
The Singam franchise is one of the most celebrated franchise. It’s first part had a universal appeal that led to remakes in Hindi (Singham with Ajay Devgn playing the title role), Kannada (Kempe Gowda with Sudeep in the lead) and Bengali (Shotru, with Jeet in the lead). The Singam 3 was released on 9th February and went on to become a huge hit and her character Vidya aka Agni was appreciated.
2) Katamarayudu (Telugu)
Her next release was with Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan. It was an official remake of Ajith’s blockbuster Vedalam and was released on 24th March. It received a few negative reviews but thanks to the superstardom of Pawan that the film sailed safely at the box office.
Her immediate release of the year is Behen Hogi Teri, which is scheduled to release on 2nd June. The trailer has created a buzz and her pairing with acting powerhouse Rajkummar Rao looks promising. A tale of neighborhood romance is something everyone can relate to, which ensures the film a decent opening at the box office. The music of the film is already the talk of the town.

After much delay, the film Sabash Naidu is finally getting back on floors. For the first time, she will be doing a full-length film with her star father Kamal Hassan.
